Capstone Tile LLC Service Warranty Policy

At Capstone Tile LLC, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality tile installation and home remodeling services. This Service Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions of our warranty, explaining the process for filing a claim, timeframes, and other important details.

By purchasing our services, you agree to the terms of this warranty policy.

1. Scope of Warranty

Capstone Tile LLC offers a limited warranty for our tile installation and home remodeling services. This warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials supplied by Capstone Tile LLC for a period of one (1) year from the date of completion of the service.

Covered Services:

  • Custom Tile Installation
  • Bathroom and Shower Remodeling
  • Grout and Caulking Work
  • Tile Repairs Conducted by Capstone Tile LLC

Exclusions from Coverage:

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, accidents, or misuse.
  • Damage caused by external factors such as water intrusion due to structural defects, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events outside of Capstone Tile LLC’s control.
  • Any work performed by third-party contractors or any modifications made after Capstone Tile LLC’s completion of services.
  • Cracking or movement caused by structural issues not related to our installation work.

2. Warranty Claim Process

If you experience any issues with the workmanship or materials within the warranty period, follow the steps below to initiate a warranty claim:

How to Initiate a Warranty Claim:

  1. Contact Us
    Email us at sales@capstonetile.com or call us at (763) 332-5911 to provide details about the issue you are experiencing. Please include:
    • Your full name
    • Service location address
    • Date of the completed project
    • Description of the issue, with photos if possible
  2. Inspection
    Upon receiving your claim, we will schedule an inspection of the work to assess the issue. We strive to complete the inspection within 10 business days of your claim submission.
  3. Resolution
    After the inspection, if the issue is covered under this warranty, Capstone Tile LLC will repair or replace the affected materials at no cost to you within 30 business days, subject to material availability and scheduling. If the issue is found to be outside the scope of this warranty, we will provide you with an explanation.

3. Fees and Costs

Capstone Tile LLC will cover the cost of labor and materials for any valid warranty claim. However, you may be responsible for the following:

  • Travel fees: For locations more than 50 miles from our business address at 1041 Cumberland St., St. Paul, MN 55117, a travel fee may apply. We will notify you of any applicable fees before scheduling the inspection.
  • Non-covered Repairs: If the issue is determined not to be covered by the warranty, any repairs or modifications may incur additional costs, which will be discussed and agreed upon prior to any work being performed.

4. Timeframes

  • Warranty Period: The warranty is valid for one (1) year from the date of the project’s completion.
  • Claim Submission: All claims must be submitted within the one-year warranty period. Claims submitted after the warranty expires will not be covered.
  • Inspection and Response: We aim to respond to your claim within 2 business days and schedule an inspection within 10 business days of receiving your claim.
  • Repair Timeframe: If the claim is valid, we will complete the necessary repairs or replacement within 30 business days from the inspection date, subject to material availability.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure the longevity of your tile installation and remodeling work, we recommend following these guidelines:

  • Proper Maintenance: Regular cleaning and proper care are essential to preserving the quality of your tile and grout. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning tools that could damage the materials.
  • Address Issues Promptly: Report any issues as soon as they arise. Delaying the reporting of problems may lead to more significant damage and may not be covered under the warranty.

6. Transferability

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of our services. If the property is sold or transferred to another owner, this warranty will be void.

7. Limitation of Liability

Capstone Tile LLC’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective work as determined by the terms of this policy. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to property damage, loss of use, or additional costs arising from a warranty claim.
